    Sumitomo (SHI) Demag
    A Sumitomo (SHI) Demag IntElect75 injection molding machine (IMM) with a SAM-C5 Cartesian robot — which will be available in the U.S. sometime in 2024 — manufactures components for a surge interrupter on a four-cavity tool during the K Show. Overseeing the entire cell is Sumitomo (SHI) Demag's SAMControl, the control device for the robot, IMM and peripheral equipment. It uses the same IMM and robotics hardware and software, so everything, even remote maintenance via the company's myConnect app, can be integrated.
    Sumitomo (SHI) Demag’s device can connect multiple pieces of peripheral equipment from different manufacturers with a minimum of hardware/software integration.
