Triton2 EVS camera mimics human eyesight
Triton2 EVS Featuring the IMX636 and IMX637 event-based vision sensors, which combine Sony's CMOS and Prophesee’s Metavision technologies, Lucid’s new 2.5GigE camera is appropriate for a variety of machine vision applications, including motion analysis, vibration monitoring, object tracking and high-speed detection. Offering IP67 protection against shock, vibration, water dust, and electromagnetic interference, it boasts a design Lucid calls “Factory Tough.”
What’s new? The camera, which has been available a few months.
Benefits High-speed, low-latency, accurate capture of images, triggered by changes in luminance, thanks to the special sensors and artificial intelligence technologies designed to mimic how the human eye works, supplied by Sony and Prophesee, respectively. Each event contains pixel coordinates and a microsecond-resolution timestamp, making the images distinct from photographs captured by traditional frame-based cameras.
