Portable Flexicon unit accepts manual sack dumping, bulk bag discharge
Mobile conveyor system This new mobile tilt-down flexible screw conveyor system from Flexicon is mounted on a portable base for use throughout a plant. It has a multi-purpose hood, and its inner stainless-steel screw’s geometry allows it to propel both free- and non-free-flowing bulk materials — including products that pack, cake, smear, seize or fluidize, with no separation of blends. The unit is available in carbon steel construction with a durable industrial coating, or in an all-stainless steel construction version with material contact surfaces finished to sanitary standards.
What’s new? This conveyor system.
Benefits Versatility. The unit’s hopper can be filled via manual dumping from hand-held sacks and discharging from bulk bags. It then transfers the material to elevated downstream process equipment and storage vessels. With either filling method, operations are kept dust-free thanks to a side-mounted Bag-Vac dust collector vented from the hood. The unit’s portable base has a low center of gravity that maximizes stability when rolling it between locations and while in operation. The ability to tilt down the support boom and conveyor assembly improves the unit’s maneuverability through standard doorways, aisles and around corners. Its tilt-down mechanism also makes cleaning and inspection tasks easier.
