LMD This Matsui press-mounted desiccant dryer is tailored for low-volume, high-precision molding. It provides consistent and reliable conditioning for highly engineered and hygroscopic materials such as polyamide (PA) elastomer, PA46, PA66, PA9T, PC/ABS, polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), liquid crystal polymers (LCPs), PET, ABS, PBT (polybutylene terephthalate), PC, COP (cyclic olefin polymer) and medical-grade PP. It builds on Matsui’s MJ-series desiccant drying technology, offering optimized energy consumption, 10-year desiccant life, standard automatic loading and accurate performance with a consistent -40 degrees Fahrenheit dew point. The LMD mounts directly to the feed throat of the plasticizing unit, saving floor space.
What’s new? The dryer, which is available in two models: the LMD 4.5 with a capacity of up to 10 pounds and the LMD 6.0 with a capacity of up to 13.2 pounds.
