L-702SP Hamar Laser Instruments makes a range of laser alignment instruments, including its L-702SP five-axis machine/spindle alignment system. This system mounts directly into a spindle chuck — with the laser beam aligned with the spindle’s rotation axis — and works with a target that mounts in the tailstock of a five-axis machining center.
What’s new? The T-1295 and T-1296 targets, and a suite of four new fixtures. Both targets offer Bluetooth communication; the T-1296 is a high-resolution version of the T-1295 target. The fixtures include the L-702MB laser magnetic base fixture, the L-702RA right-angle laser/target spindle fixture, the T-242 target straightness measuring base and the T-243 target flatness measuring base.
Benefits Versatility and affordability. The new targets and fixtures make setups and alignments with the L-702SP much faster; they also make it compatible with a range of smaller machines than was possible previously. The Bluetooth capability also removes the need for an additional piece of wired hardware for the package. They give the L-702SP the flexibility of measuring center and angular spindle alignments; flatness, straightness and squareness of linear axes and guideways on boring mills, gantries, lathes and machining centers; alignment of platens in injection molding machines; and flatness and straightness of surfaces.
