Aug. 25, 2023
The RCS product line supports robots from a wide range of manufacturers.

RCS series Metrology expert Renishaw’s RCS product line can eliminate the need for manual setup and calibration of robots. The range includes the RCS L-90, RCS T-90, and RCS P-series, with the dedicated RCS Software Suite to support them. The RCS L-90 is a ballbar device that uses simple routines controlled by the software to improve robot system accuracy, cut deployment time and monitor robot health. The RCS T-90 is a tri-ballbar system that uses comprehensive tests to identify root causes of poor performance. It can capture critical robot information, allowing users to remaster the joint offsets or run master-recovery routines. The RCS P series integrates a permanent Renishaw probing solution within a robot cell to apply in-process metrology and automatic recovery to automation processes.

What’s new? The RCS line of products, which was first publicly demonstrated in May at Automate 2023 in Detroit.

Benefits Quick, simple and traceable automation of robot calibration and set-up tasks. Supporting robots from a wide range of manufacturers, the RCS line also improves accuracy and repeatability of automated functions.
