New Columbus McKinnon app facilitates predictive maintenance for cranes, hoists
Intelli-Connect Columbus McKinnon’s diagnostics and analytics system gives users essential information about the performance and status of cranes and hoists. It enables fast programming, predictive maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting. The system wirelessly delivers diagnostic information from any of the company’s lifting equipment that is outfitted with Magnetek variable-frequency drives (VFDs). Using the Intelli-Connect Mobile app, crane and hoist users can access detailed equipment information on a tablet or smartphone.
What’s new? The Intelli-Connect Mobile+ app. The new app has all the capabilities of the IntelliConnect Mobile app, along with advanced diagnostic and analytic features, such as continuous monitoring, trending data, event logging and insight into the remaining operating life of a hoist. It provides a comprehensive view of a system by monitoring runs, faults, alarms and VFD status. Users also can create and keep track of maintenance and inspection notes.
Benefits Predictive maintenance. The app wirelessly provides advanced diagnostics and analytics to enable predictive maintenance and increase uptime. This also eliminates the inconvenience and downtime associated with physically accessing the hoist or drive at the top of an overhead bridge crane. While the Intelli-Connect Mobile app is available as a free download, upgrading to Intelli-Connect Mobile+ functionality requires a one-time fee.
