Slide Products launches high-temp purging compound

Hi-Temp Purge Slide Products’ latest purging compound is targeted at engineering-grade resins such as polyphenylene sulfide, PEEK, PET, polyetherimide and liquid crystal polymer. It removes residue from the screw and barrel of the injection molding machine during resin and color changes, as well as carbon buildup inside the barrel. Slide supplies the compound in 50-pound boxes for $382.50 and 1,000-pound gaylords for $6,160.  

What’s new? High-temperature purging. Unlike most standard purging compounds, which burn at high temperatures, the product is stable at temperatures up to 750 degrees Fahrenheit.
