Ultra Purge 1000 This series of purging compounds from Chem-Trend is designed for purging single-face molds and stack tools used to injection mold thin-wall packaging. Formulated to work with all polyolefin resins, it also removes carbon buildup from hot runners, screws and barrels.
What’s new? The Ultra Purge 1000 product line, which is specifically designed to handle challenging molds without soaking or changes to the machine settings. It consists of two grades, with more to be added soon.
Benefits Fast, efficient color and resin changes. Chem-Trend reports that users typically see a 50 percent to 75 percent reduction in downtime and associated scrap, compared to purging with virgin resin or regrind. This also results in a more-consistent end product.
