Fanuc America Corp. to build new Michigan facility
Citing growing demand for automation equipment, Fanuc America Corp., Rochester Hills, Mich., is building an engineering, product development, manufacturing and warehousing facility in nearby Auburn Hills, Mich. The company manufactures robotics, CNC systems, factory automation and industrial IoT products.
The $51 million expansion is pegged to create 100 jobs. Fanuc will break ground later this year; the facility is scheduled to open in the fall of 2019.
The new building will give the company three facilities with a combined 1.16 million square feet of operating space in Michigan.
Fanuc America has numerous other locations throughout the U.S., as well as operations in Canada, Mexico and South America. It is a subsidiary of Japan's Fanuc Corp.
