Fanuc America, a leading supplier of robotics and CNC machines, is extending its footprint in Oakland County, Mich., to nearly 2 million square feet.

The company has purchased 67 acres upon which to build its new West Campus, which will eventually include a 655,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility for manufacturing, engineering and R&D projects. The new facility will complement the North Campus, a 461,000-square-foot site that opened in October 2019.

“We’re excited to announce the addition of the new West Campus and our ability to continue to expand in Oakland County, Mich.,” Fanuc America President and CEO Mike Cicco said. “This investment in the future of U.S. manufacturing will help Fanuc America meet the tremendous demand for automation solutions.”

Pending approval of construction plans, the company expects to break ground this fall and is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2024.
