HyperSync M is based on the initial HyperSync model, which was introduced at K2016 in Germany and designed for manufacturing specialty closures. Since the K show, Husky has combined its HyperSync technology with other in-house developments to create new machine types, including the HyperSync M, dedicated to specific market segments.

For example, last year Husky combined HyperSync with its multi-layer technology — which initially was developed for making PET preforms — to create a packaging-specific HyperSync model. The new packaging model can manufacture cans, coffee pods and small jars, among other products, Husky said.

HyperSync M is available in models with clamping forces from 120 tons to 600 tons. The series integrates molds from Husky's Schöttli AG division in Diessenhofen, Switzerland. The greater compatibility of the machine and mold results in faster cycle times at a lower total part cost, with no impact on quality, Husky said.

The servo-motor drive and hydraulic pump system — as well as a regenerative function that captures and reuses energy applied during clamp movements — optimize energy consumption. Husky said the upgraded hydraulic system in HyperSync models improves system response times over the previous Hylectric line.

The machine features a version of Husky's eIMC in-mold closing technology, which allows mold functions to safely overlap and translates into a time savings of 2 seconds per cycle. This time savings boosts productivity by up to 20 percent, Husky said. The eIMC technology was introduced with the first HyperSync model.
