QuickShots ID Additives has introduced a line of purging compounds for extrusion, injection molding and blow molding equipment. The compounds work with all types of resins at temperatures from 180 to 710 degrees Fahrenheit. They are compliant with U.S. Food and Drug Administration requirements.
What's new? The delivery method. QuickShots are 1-ounce and 3-ounce packets that are dropped into the feed throat or hopper of the machine. Dosage is typically 1 ounce per inch of screw diameter. The compounds come in boxes of 50 1-ounce packets and 24 3-ounce packets.
Benefits Fast, simple purging and reduced costs. During customer trials, less resin was needed for purging. Also, the packets prevent waste, and the amount of compound required can be easily calculated.
