QuickShots line gaining 2 additional grades
QuickShots ID Additives has expanded its line of QuickShots purging compounds for extrusion, injection molding and blow molding equipment. The single-dose compounds come in individual packets that are dropped into the feed throat or machine hopper for simplified purging. No soaking or temperature adjustments to the process are needed for the FDA-compliant compounds, which are compatible with all types of resins. A typical dose is 1 ounce per 1 inch of screw diameter. The company sells 1-ounce packets in boxes of 50 and 3-ounce packets in boxes of 24.
What's new? Two additional grades. QuickShots HD is a heavy-duty compound with glass prills for extra cleaning strength that can be used at temperatures from 180 degrees to 710 degrees Fahrenheit. QuickShots SP is a pellet formulation; existing products in the line are in liquid form. QuickShots SP also is available in a 0.5-ounce version for use in lab lines and small production machines and is suitable for temperatures up to 695 degrees Fahrenheit.
Benefits More options for tough applications, lab lines and those who prefer pellets over liquid. Also, the company is offering free samples.
