Sofraser designed this viscometer for inline use with any plastic or elastomer extruder for demanding applications.

Soflux Sofraser, Villemandeur, France, designed this viscometer for inline use with any plastic or elastomer extruder for demanding applications such as recycling, compounding and reactive extrusion. Installed between the screw and die, the compact sensor continuously measures dynamic viscosity from inside the melt flow. It is adaptable to any screw dimension and works with a wide range of temperatures.

What's new? U.S. availability. The device was launched in Europe in 2015 and now is being marketed in the U.S., where Sofraser is represented by Saint Clair Systems.

Benefits Consistent quality for extruded products. Also, with no moving parts, the stainless steel viscometer is robust and easy to clean.
