Dynisco rheometer allows real-time adjustments

The ViscoIndicator can send a signal to the extruder or feeding system to maintain specifications.

ViscoIndicator Online Rheometer This Dynisco rheometer provides continuous measurements directly on an extruder.

What’s new? A new control option that allows users to automatically make real-time adjustments to either the Melt Flow Index (MFI) or Intrinsic Viscosity (IV) of the polymer. Based on upper and lower control limits for the MFI or IV, the rheometer can send a signal to upstream equipment. With the enhanced function, the device sends signals to adjust the extruder or feeding systems to ensure that the line hits or maintains the right MFI or IV specifications. With this functionality, the rheometer, in conjunction with material blenders or feeders, can change levels of recycled material or additives to meet appropriate operating conditions.

Benefits A control feedback loop that provides the ability to better manage parameters, allowing users to integrate as much reprocessed material into their process as possible without sacrificing quality. Because the device operates inline, there’s less need for laboratory testing — ensuring in real time that material is being processed according to specifications and minimizing the risk of scrap.
