MCHybrid 200 Movacolor has expanded its series of materials-handling units that combine batch blending with inline dosing. Originally launched last year, the gravimetric MCHybrid mixes materials, including regrind, then doses smaller-quantity additives, such as color, as a last step inline. Pellets, liquids and powders can all be used with the machines.

What's new? A larger size, which was introduced at the K show. With a throughput exceeding 2,200 pounds per hour, the MCHybrid 200 is the largest in the series. The first unit in the line, the MCHybrid 350, has a throughput of only about 770 pounds per hour.

Benefits Efficient mixing and dosing of a large number of materials. The MCHybrid can blend as many as eight components and dose as many as 14. An optional weighing mixing chamber, which allows real-time throughput measurement for extrusion applications, is available.
