SMS This granulator series from Herbold, a brand of Coperion, is optimized for a wide range of materials and ideal for the size reduction of standard applications in the recycling industry, as well as special processing needs, such as handling heavy lumps, tough fibers, thin films or big volumes of material. 

What’s new? A new granulator model, exhibited at the K show. Designed as the biggest granulator in the series, the SMS 80-200 is ideal for large-scale recycling operations of PET and rigid plastics. It has three horizontally mounted screws and pre-adjustable rotor and bed knives capable of a cross-cutting action. 

Benefits Ability to handle demanding applications, producing regrind of consistent size and minimal fines. Featuring a hinged housing and quick knife change system, the machine is built for ease of maintenance.
