Starlinger Recycling Technology announced that in April, it will deliver the first bottle-to-bottle recycling system it has installed in Turkey.

Turkish firm Başatlı Boru Profil San.Tic.A.Ş. is a family-owned company that has been in business since 1953 and produces industrial steel products including pipe and sheet. The company entered the PET recycling market in 2019, and to date has produced PET flake from bottles and post-consumer waste.

The system Starlinger is installing includes one of the company’s biggest extruders — the recoSTAR PET 215 iV+ — and once in production, will be able to produce up to 5,291 pounds of food-safe rPET per hour. The European Food Safety Authority is currently reviewing the project.

Starlinger Recycling Technology, a division of Starlinger Co. GmbH, is based in Vienna, Austria, and manufactures PET recycling machinery and complete lines.
