Monitoring device catches hot spots

K6PM Omron’s new compact thermal imaging package comprises an infrared camera, controller and software and provides continuous, remote monitoring of the temperature of electrical panels and electrical machinery components.

What’s new? The package, which came out earlier this year. 

Benefits Improved predictive maintenance. By detecting hot spots, the device can reduce the need for manual inspection of equipment while preventing downtime or even accidents that could be caused by malfunctioning equipment. With the data it collects, even less-experienced maintenance personnel can recognize potential equipment problems in time to take action.
