Ultra Die Reifenhäuser’s line of advanced die heads for blown film have been redesigned to maximize internal cooling and maintain a stable pressure even at peak performance. They are more compact and easier to bolt on for quicker changeovers and maintenance; this also allows increased use of recycled and PFAS-free resins, which tend to be more contaminated and require more frequent cleaning. Combined with the Ultra Cool Gen3 cooling system, they can increase the performance of a line by up to 30 percent, for an output of more than 2,300 pounds per hour with a die diameter of 350mm. The die heads also offer better single-layer tolerances and film properties.
What’s new? The Ultra die heads, which are available in models for three and five layers; seven layers; and nine to 11 layers.
