Essentium's new filament performs like PEEK, PEKK

PPS-CF can be used to 3D-print tools that can be used in place of aluminum.

PPS-CF filament Essentium produces a range of fused-filament fabrication 3D printers, peripheral equipment and 3D printing filaments that work with printers from Essentium and other manufacturers. PPS-CF filament is a 15 percent carbon-fiber-reinforced polyphenylene sulfide (PPS). The filament can be used in place of aluminum to produce tooling for injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming and EPS foam molding. The material provides corrosion and chemical resistance.

What’s new? Essentium’s PPS-CF filament, which debuted at Formnext.

Benefits A high price-to-performance ratio. Essentium PPS-CF offers high strength and stiffness performance similar to polymers such as PEEK and PEKK, but at a lower price.
