Vassil joins Okuma as new president of operations

Okuma America Corp. has promoted Mike Vassil to VP of operations. Vassil has been with Okuma for more than 20 years, most recently as director of operations, a role he had held since 2018.

His new responsibilities involve overseeing all operational departments, including procurement/planning, contract administration, production, facilities, warehousing and material handling. He will also be part of the company’s steering committee.

With headquarters in Charlotte, N.C., Okuma America is the U.S.-based sales and service affiliate of Okuma Corp., a manufacturer of CNC machine tools, controls and automation systems.
