CMD to acquire FAS Converting Machinery

The manufacturer of bag and pouch-making machines says the acquisition will expand its reach and offerings.

Equipment manufacturer CMD Corp., Appleton, Wis., announced it has signed an agreement to acquire Swedish firm FAS Converting Machinery AB.

According to an announcement on CMD’s website, the acquisition is expected to expand the company’s geographic reach and offerings, while allowing it to better serve customers. It pledged to work closely with the FAS team to ensure a smooth integration process.

“FAS Converting Machinery has built a strong reputation for providing high-quality converting machinery, and we are proud to welcome their team to our organization,” the announcement read. “Their expertise will be a valuable addition to our team, and we are excited to leverage their knowledge and experience as we continue to grow.”

The announcement said the acquisition is expected to be finalized by Jan. 23. Headquartered in Arlöv, Sweden, FAS Converting is a global firm that develops, produces and sells machinery for converting plastic film into bags on a roll.
