The N-220-2.7 is the first model in a new generation of six-axis articulated robots from Comau.

N-220-2.7 Comau’s latest six-axis robot can handle payloads up to 485 pounds and has a horizontal reach of 8.8 feet. It is appropriate for tasks such as assembly, spot welding, packaging and material handling, as well as continuous processes like gluing and 3D printing. The floor-mounted model has an IP65 rating for protection against dust and water. It features direct kinematics, absolute calibration and enhanced motion algorithms. Its integrated forklift adapters facilitate installation and relocation.

What’s new? The N-220-2.7, the first model in a new generation of six-axis articulated robots from Comau. With it, the company said it is addressing a market need for cost-effective robots that are fast and easy to integrate.

Benefits Enhanced performance. Comau has minimized the number of components in the robot for a modular, streamlined design that makes it cost-effective and easy to integrate, use and maintain. Comau said the N-220-2.7 delivers best-in-class precision and repeatability of 0.05mm and is designed for maximum durability, safety and ease of use.
