Cleaning cell boasts four tanks and a cobot
Robosonic Blackstone-NEY Ultrasonics’ new cleaning cell has four tanks and is the company’s first to integrate a robot or collaborative robot (cobot) within an optional enclosure. The company says it can build the system to a customer’s specs, with more tanks, tanks of different sizes or a larger robot, for example.
What’s new? A cleaning cell that debuted at the International Manufacturing Technology Show, where it featured a Fanuc CR-7i cobot and tanks configured for spray washing, ultrasonic immersion washing, rinsing and drying.
Benefits Appropriateness for clean-room use and precision parts cleaning. The Robosonic can add integrated vision and force-sensing capabilities with the robotic arm. One possible application would be cleaning medical devices made with a combination of materials, such as metal and hard plastic.
