The Maag Group has signed an agreement to acquire Cloeren Inc., adding complementary extrusion technologies to its portfolio of polymer processing applications.

Cloeren, based in Orange, Texas, has been a family-owned business since 1975. The company engineers and manufactures customized coextrusion feedblocks, single and multi-manifold dies, and related accessories.

“Cloeren is a strong strategic fit for Maag and will further enhance our capabilities in extrusion applications,” said Ueli Thuerig, president of Maag. “The addition of Cloeren’s technologies and engineering expertise expands our solutions offering and strengthens our ability to support customers with highly engineered, mission-critical equipment.”

Cloeren’s business operations will continue as usual.

The Maag Group, based in Oberglatt, Switzerland, provides process technologies — including pump and filtration, pelletizing and pulverizing, recycling and measurement and control systems — for the polymer, chemical and petrochemical industries. Its brands include AMN, Automatik, Ettlinger, Gala, Maag, Reduction, Scheer, Witte, Xantec and Sikora.
