SPE Extrusion Optimization Topcon releases lineup 

Equipment manufacturers, educators and processors are on the program for the June 16-18 event.

The program has been released for the first SPE Extrusion Division Optimization Topconwhich will be held June 16-18 at the Holiday Inn Montréal – Longueuil, Quebec.

The June 16 keynote speaker is John Christiano of Davis-Standard, who will discuss “Troubleshooting and Optimizing Extrusion Operations Using an Advanced Real-Time Monitoring System.” On June 17, Rob Jerman of Extrusion Technology and Innovations Inc. will deliver the second keynote, “Optimization of Mass Transfer Processes in Twin Screw Extrusion.” 

A panel discussion of boundary conditions and troubleshooting will anchor the third day of the Topcon on June 18. 

Presentations related to single-screw and twin-screw (co-rotating and counterrotating) extrusion, upstream, die and downstream technologies will be presented, along with plant tours and tutorials. Speakers from Leistritz, KraussMaffei, US Extruders, Gneuss, Windmoeller & Hoelscher, ACS and Milacron are among those on the program.
