SpeciMold Brabender's new injection molding machine (IMM) is designed for quick testing of polymer compounds under real-world conditions in a laboratory setting. Its target markets include compound designers, additive manufacturers and plastics development labs.

What's new? The ability to create samples of a new compound for testing by diverting the melt flow from the compounding extruder to the IMM.

Benefits Fast results. SpeciMold eliminates the need to make resin pellets prior to injection molding samples for testing. Also, degradation of the polymer is minimized, and test samples can be made from only a few pounds of compounded resin.
