Fortify 3-D printer creates parts with evenly distributed additives

The Flux Core can produce parts with unique capabilities at a lower cost than other Fortify printers. It's appropriate for parts where fiber alignment isn't necessary.

Flux Core Fortify manufactures digital light processing 3-D printers that use additives to impart unique properties to the parts they produce. The company’s Continuous Kinetic Mixing (CKM) module mixes, heats and recirculates resin to keep additives, such as particles or fibers, evenly distributed throughout the printing process, while its Fluxprint module employs a magnetic field to align magnetically responsive fibers within the part.

What’s new? The Flux Core.

Benefits Lower cost. The Flux Core can produce parts with unique capabilities using the CKM module in applications where fiber alignment isn’t critical, thereby avoiding the additional cost and complexity of adding the Fluxprint module. An example of parts that can be produced with the Flux Core would be lenses for radio frequency communications. The Flux Core has a build volume of 8.5 inches by 4.5 inches by 13 inches.
