Atlas-HS This hybrid 3-D printer from Titan Robotics includes a pellet extrusion head for fast printing of near-net-shape parts, and a milling tool to machine the finished shape. Options include the addition of a second extruder head or a filament head. The machine has a tool changer with a six-tool capacity and a spindle speed of up to 18,000 rpm. It can print with a wide range of materials, such as ABS, PP, PET-glycol, nylons, PEEK and polyetherketoneketone.
What’s new? The Atlas-HS.
Benefits Faster, cheaper printing. The company said its pellet extrusion head allows the Atlas-HS to print up to 10 times faster than competing printers, and for one-tenth the price due to its ability to use cheaper pellet feedstock. It also performs additive and subtractive manufacturing with a single setup, saving capital expenditure. It is available in two sizes, with a build volume of 3.5 feet by 3.5 feet by 4 feet; or 4.2 feet by 4.2 feet by 6 feet.
