New Stratasys unit can print with up to five materials

The J55 can print true-to-design parts and prototypes, and comes in at a much lower price point than some of its predecessors.

J55 This new 3-D printer from Stratasys can be used to validate part designs and prototype parts. Featuring a rotating build platform and fixed printer head, it can print up to five materials simultaneously, with the possibility of as many as 500,000 colors. Users can operate it remotely.

What’s new? The printer, which Stratasys planned to begin shipping this month.
