Delta Wasp 3MT This large-scale 3-D printer can print objects as large as 1 cubic meter, with a cylindrical build volume 1 meter in diameter and 1 meter high. Applications include rapid prototyping, small-scale production and research and development. Layer resolutions range from 0.5mm to less than 2mm. Maximum print speed is 150mm per second.
What's new? U.S. availability. The printer became commercially available in the U.S. in October, after debuting in Europe in June.
Benefits Flexibility. By changing the tooling, the Delta Wasp 3MT can switch from printing with PS, PETG and PLA resin pellets to printing with dense fluids such as geopolymers. It can also print with recycled plastic. A third tool, for CNC milling, can be used to cut plastic panels. The machine also is available in a basic model for printing with plastic, without the special tools.
