This line of printers from 3D Systems combines professional-grade 3-D printing capabilities with easy part processing.

ProJet MJP 2500 series This line of printers from 3D Systems combines professional-grade 3-D printing capabilities with easy part processing. The parts the printers create are of similar quality and precision as injection molded parts, the company says. Made up of the ProJet MJP 2500 and the ProJet MJP 2500 Plus, the series can be used for prototyping and model manufacturing. Each printer is compatible with proprietary, durable black and white plastic materials; the ProJet MJP 2500 Plus can also use specially formulated clear and rubber-like materials. The ProJet MJP 2500 is shown.

What's new? The printer, which was demonstrated at the Additive Manufacturing Users Group conference in St. Louis in April.

Benefits Ease of use and high precision. Parts made by the printer, which can print more than 500 million droplets per cubic inch, require no post-processing. The series comes with 3D Systems' 3DSPRINT software, which allows users to make quick printability checks, estimate build time and manage part positioning, as well as perform other functions.
