Roboze One+400 Roboze's desktop fused-deposition modeling 3-D printer features beltless mechanical movement and a pair of extruder heads capable of heating to 752 degrees Fahrenheit. It uses 12 materials, including polylactic acid and ABS. The machine can handle rapid prototyping, as well as some additive manufacturing applications. In particular, Roboze envisions use for medical applications.
What's new? The printer, which has been available since April. Unlike Roboze's first printer, the Roboze One, the Roboze One+400 has two extruder heads, allowing it to print two polymers at once.
Benefits Ability to print PEEK and polyetherimide, two high-performance materials used by the aerospace, automotive, defense and military industries, with a competitively priced machine. The printer carries a price tag of $32,000. Additionally, the use of racks and pinions, instead of belts, makes the machine durable and contributes to fluid, quiet operation.
