Ultimaker 2+ and Ultimaker 2 Extended+ Ultimaker's newest 3-D printers can use various resins, including polylactic acid and ABS, and have build volumes of 8.8 by 8.8 by 8.1 inches and 8.8 by 8.8 by 12 inches, respectively. The smaller printer, which is pictured, costs $2,499; the bigger one is $2,999.What's new? The printers, which Ultimaker showed at the International Consumer Electronics Show in January.

Benefits Cost-competitive price and modular design, including interchangeable nozzles, which make material changes easy. Featuring a powerful geared feeder, the printer is less likely to skip. Compared to past Ultimaker products, it also produces better surface quality.
