DeeRed Y Soft's upgraded fused filament fabrication printer employs two extruders, so that two different types of material or colors can be used at once. It is suited for a variety of professional applications, including prototyping, model creation and customized manufacturing.
What's new? The upgraded printer, which was exhibited for the first time in October at the 3D Printshow in Paris. Improvements include a 50 percent increase in the build volume, new heating bed and expanded portfolio of print profile templates. The printer's computer capabilities have also expanded, and it is now Ethernet-enabled, with a camera for remote monitoring. The printer also now has magnetic door locks.
Benefits Ability to print large objects at a cost-efficient price. The $28,000 printer has a build volume of about 16 inches by 24 inches by 31 inches. Its DeeControl software allows users to optimize parameter settings.
