A 3-D printer manufacturer has partnered with a company that provides 3-D measurement scanners to enhance customers' ability to make prototypes.

Under the deal between Stratasys Ltd., Eden Prairie, Minn., and Creaform Inc., Lévis, Quebec, the companies' distributors have agreed to jointly market the companies' products.

In a press release, Marco St-Pierre, division VP, innovation and technology, for Creaform, says, "Three-D printing and 3-D scanning go hand-in-hand. This combination is targeted at allowing companies of all types to accelerate their product-development processes and ensure that their products truly meet the needs for which they were designed. We believe that Creaform's Go!SCAN 3-D scanners and VXmodel Scan-to-Print software are the perfect complement to Stratasys 3-D printers."
