Top-entry robot assists Boy presses
LR 5 This top-entry, five-axis robot from Boy Machines is designed to perform part takeout and insertion in conjunction with the company's injection molding machines. It has three linear axes driven by servo motors as well as pneumatically powered rotary and swivel axes. The rotating and swiveling gripper hand of the LR 5 is designed to handle weights of up to 11 pounds. Due to its modular design, different travel lengths are available for each axis.

Benefits Intuitive use and an economical price. Operation of the robot is integrated into the primary machine's graphical controller. This allows operators to use the LR 5 without specialized knowledge. Also, a safety fence that can be adapted easily to each application is standard.
