GP8 This next-generation, high-speed robot from Yaskawa Motoman is built for material handling applications as well as general applications. It has a payload capacity of about 17.6 pounds and reach of 28.6 inches. The GP8 can be mounted on the floor, ceiling or a wall. It will be available in 2017.

What's new? The GP8, which debuted in November at Pack Expo.

Benefits The unit has an IP67 wash-down rating and an easy-to-clean surface. Its slender design means it can be placed close to other robots. Initial set-up and maintenance are easier since only one cable connects the major components.
