Sikora's Planowave measures extruded sheet thickness inline

Nov. 23, 2016
This noncontact measuring system was developed for inline, nondestructive measurement of sheet thicknesses.

Planowave 6000 This noncontact measuring system from Sikora International was developed for inline, nondestructive measurement of sheet thicknesses during extrusion, using millimeter-wave technology. The machine's Ecocontrol controller can display measurements numerically or graphically and provides trends and statistical analysis.

What's New? The machine, which Sikora exhibited at the K show.

Benefits Consistent product quality and ease of use. Measurements are taken without coupling mediums and are independent of the material type and temperature of the plastic sheet, eliminating the need for calibration.
