MoistTech system monitors wide webs

Three sensors on a linear belt slide system read the moisture levels and coating thickness of corrugated sheets. MoistTech is introducing the system to the plastics and converting industries this summer.

Sensors MoistTech’s near-infrared moisture and thickness sensors are used to continuously monitor a wide variety of products during the manufacturing process for quality control purposes. Sensors for plastics industry applications include the IR3000 series, which provides instant, non-contact moisture analysis. The sensors can be installed in conveyors, chutes, bins and in web applications.

What’s new? The linear belt slide system, which the company is introducing to the plastics and converting industries this summer to provide multipoint inspection. Up to three sensors can be mounted on the system to provide readings of moisture, thickness or temperature, or all three at once across a wide web of film. MoistTech can customize the size of the system to accommodate different application widths.
