KFC Kaeser flow controllers (KFC) work in combination with air receivers to create storage in compressed air systems, allowing the systems to maintain steady pressures. Installed between the air-system supply and the distribution network, they rapidly respond to changes in demand. The KFC line has seven models, with maximum flow rates ranging from 250 to 18,000 standard cubic feet per minute. The KFC 1000E is shown.
What's new? The product line, which Kaeser launched earlier this year.
Benefits A steady supply of compressed air as well as energy and cost savings. Some plastics industry processes require a lot of compressed air for a short period of time. With a KFC unit, there is no need to add expensive compressors to meet the temporary demand. Also, instead of running at unnecessarily high pressures to compensate for pressure fluctuations, compressors can run at lower pressures, reducing leaks and energy use.
