Matsui Group has acquired Moditec, a France-based manufacturer of low-speed granulators and customized size-reduction systems for plastics.

The acquisition will strengthen the Matsui Group organization across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), adding Moditec's manufacturing capabilities, engineering knowledge, and customer and partner relationships.

Moditec will continue to operate under its own brand and maintain its existing business, customer support and commercial relationships. Moditec's products will continue to be exclusively distributed by Globeius in North America, according to Graeme Sands, GM of Miami-based Globeius.

Moditec’s low-speed granulators, including the Mini Goliath, Goliath Plus and Titan, can handle many plastic types, including glass-filled nylon, ABS, PC, polybutylene terephthalate and others. There are multiple sizes available for beside-the-press use. The company is based in Vienne, France.

Matsui Group, based in Osaka, Japan, manufactures auxiliary equipment and integrated solutions for plastics processing, including dehumidifying dryers, mold temperature controllers, vacuum loaders, dosing and blending units, chillers and granulators.
