Machinex has named Jon Gertsmeier technology sales manager, a new position in which he will focus on expansion of AI-powered sorting technologies.

He has more than 15 years of experience in the waste and recycling industry in technology sales, industrial automation and strategic partnerships. He has worked with single-stream recycling, municipal solid waste, construction and demolition, and electronic waste.

Gertsmeier will lead business development efforts for Mind, Machinex's unified AI platform, and its portfolio of advanced sorting technologies. He will work with customers to integrate AI into their operations, enhance sorting performance, improve material recovery and gain insights into facility performance.
