G55 granulators have advanced control systems

July 14, 2025
The new line from CMG features efficient motors, an innovative feed hopper design and a more accessible cabinet.

G55 The standard configurations of CMG SpA’s two newest granulators for high-capacity applications — the G55-90 and G55-120 — have capacities ranging from 1,543 pounds per hour to 2,866 pounds per hour. The two models are the first in what will be known as the G55 line. Both new models are equipped with control systems that monitor all functions of the granulators as well as everything from the moment a part is dumped on the in-feed conveyor to when the processed material is conveyed to a surge bin or bag. CMG and UnaDyn are in the same group of companies.

What’s new? Premium-efficiency motors; the integral sound enclosure and innovative feed hopper design, which accommodate a wide variety of shapes and sizes of material to be processed; and a new cabinet design that improves accessibility for maintenance so that all cleaning and maintenance can be accomplished from the front or back of the granulator.

Benefits Reduced friction and abrasions, resulting in accurate cut and dimensional homogeneity of regrind particles; and less energy utilization. According to CMG, the G55 granulators use about half the energy of conventional granulators. No cooling water is necessary. A proprietary vacuum regrind conveying system eliminates mechanical stress on the regrind and powder escaping into the air. CMG reports cleaning takes only a few minutes and requires no tools.
