Matsui grinder handles larger sprues, runners
SMGL3-Plus The latest model in Matsui’s Low-Speed Grinder line can granulate sprues and runners up to 3/8-inch. It is available with a 2.2 kilowatt (kW) or 3.7 kW direct drive motor, and a 15.7-inch by 15.7-inch or a 21-inch by 15.7-inch chamber. The blade rotation speed — 30 RPM for the 2.2-kW motor and 36 RPM for 3.7-kW motor — provides a relatively quiet operating environment. The line features a corrosion resistant carbon steel feed hopper, and the redesigned suction box allows easy accessibility for cleaning and maintenance. Cutters are made of Cr12MoV tool steel with a hardness of HRC58 and can be individually replaced. Standard features include a window on the feed hopper to view the cutting chamber, a hopper magnet and higher material throughput.
