Micro-Epsilon scanners boost resolution

Feb. 3, 2023
With new firmware, the scanControl 30xx system offers five times better performance, and it can take faster measurements.

scanControl 30xx These blue-laser profile scanners from Micro-Epsilon provide calibrated 2D profile data. For the plastics industry, the company’s sensors and measuring systems can be used to guarantee quality in applications, such as machine monitoring and part inspection, that require precision. Specifically, the scanControl technologies are useful for inline measurement of gaps, profiles, steps and angles, as well as both reflective and matte surfaces on parts, and they can spot foreign bodies, and defects.

What’s new? The new V53 firmware V53, which has significantly improved the scanners’ resolution.

Benefits High-quality, high-resolution performance, with the ability to scan more than 7.37 million points per second with a maximum profile frequency of 10 kilohertz. The scanners offer a resolution of 2,048 points with an ultimate point distance of 12 microns. With the new firmware, the system's performance is five times better, and it can take faster measurements.
