Spanish firm Meltio, a manufacturer of wire-laser metal deposition 3D printers that can be used for making molds and tooling, announced it has strengthened its commercial structure in the United States with the appointment of Meaghan Ferris as commercial VP and Gabriel Ortiz as channel manager. Ferris will be in charge of states east of the Mississippi, while Ortiz will handle the West.
The company said its strategy in the U.S. is built on three pillars: reinforcement of the sales team with the new appointments; a new section on the Meltio website called “Powered by Meltio, Made in the USA,” which highlights the company’s solutions integrated into custom-made industrial systems; and the upcoming announcement of a series of reference site locations, where customers can observe Meltio's systems in operation.
Ferris brings experience in additive manufacturing from the HP additive manufacturing division in the U.S. Ortiz is a U.S. Navy veteran with more than 25 years of experience at Panasonic Factory Automation, Henkel Electronics, and other companies in the automotive, electronics, electrical and medical sectors.
Both will support the company’s strategic growth initiatives and applications in the industrial sectors across the U.S.
