The DC-1 drill/tap machine has a compact footprint and can easily add 4th- and 5th-axis capabilities.

DC-1 drill center Haas’ DC-1 drill center is a traditional-style drill/tap machine that comes with a standard 10,000 rpm BT30 spindle and high-speed turret-style tool changer. It has an extra-wide one-piece base that provides the stability needed for heavier parts and fixtures, while its wide-stance triangulated column provides increased overall rigidity. Users can easily add optional 4th- and 5th-axis drives to increase the machine’s capabilities.

What’s new? The DC-1.

Benefits High-volume production, thanks in part to the tool changer, which minimizes cut-to-cut times. The DC-1 has a compact footprint and discharges chips to the rear, allowing users to place machines side-by-side to maximize floor space while still offering easy side access for automation systems. Optional spindles offer even faster production speeds.
